The Journey into the Virtual Void is a captivating low-poly VR platformer/adventure game, reminiscent of classic 90s platformers like Mario 64.

story Overview

You play as a devoted gamer, utterly captivated by a retro platformer on your computer. Night after night, you immerse yourself in the game, sacrificing sleep for just one more level. But one fateful night, after playing until 4 AM, you crawl into bed, only to be startled awake by the sound of an explosion.

Rushing to investigate, you find a mysterious portal has opened, pulling you into the very game that has consumed your waking hours. Now trapped inside, you must navigate through various levels, battling rogue armies, collecting coins and other pickups, and restoring order to the virtual void.

Your ultimate goal is to defeat the formidable end-of-game Boss, Ogleath. Only by overcoming this final challenge can you close the portal and return home.

key Features

*Nostalgic Gameplay: Relive the charm of 90s platformers with modern VR technology.

*Immersive Levels: Explore diverse levels filled with unique challenges and vibrant, low-poly environments.

*Engaging Combat: Fight off rogue armies and formidable bosses.

*Collectibles Galore: Gather coins, power-ups, and other pickups to aid your journey.

*Epic Showdown: Face the ultimate challenge in an intense boss battle against Ogleath.

*Embark on The Little Journey into the Virtual Void and experience the thrill of a classic platformer brought to life in virtual reality.

*This game was developed by a solo Indie developer (unless you include my dog who was my co-producer), the game has been developed and tested using the Meta Quest 2 & 3 and Rift S for PCVR, other headsets have not been tested yet. II am now aware that at present the game has an issue with Valve Index controller. Players using the Valve Index are unable to grab the weapon and move. I will be looking at fixing this as soon as I can. I have only been able to play test this using Meta Quest 3 so I apologize for any issues.

This VR Game was built and runs on the OpenXR SDK.
