Endure or Perish

5 years ago, scientists were on the brink of the discovery of a life time…the cure to cancer. They were using a specialized target and delivery medication of a modified virus directly into the cancer cells. While several trials had showed promise, a side effect was discovered they hadn’t planned on. The virus mutated. While it killed the cancer, it also killed its host, but a few days later the host reanimated and turned on the staff of the facility. Although attempts were made to stop the infected from getting out, once one of the infected breached the walls of the facility the inevitable happened…the end of the world as we know it.

Having been a few years since the initial outbreak you are the lone survivor in a now vast and unknown world. While you are not alone in the world, there are no other survivors, only the infected, and wild animals some harmless and some hostile. You have no food and only your survival skills to keep you alive.

To survive in this post-apocalyptic world, you:
1. Must gather resources from around the map.
a. Resources can be gathered from nearly everything on the map from every tree encountered to every boulder, to sticks and stones that lay on the
ground.
2. You must craft your weapons to defend against the horde of infected, hostile wild animals, and to hunt food.
3. You must craft your tools to help build your base, a place you can store your gathered materials and a place to retreat to when you are injured to heal up
and prepare for round two.
4. With your tools, food, and weapons, you will gather loot that is found in and amongst the houses and the abandoned base.
